This is a list of 10 best selling manga of all times for you to see which of this have you read and also to find out on which place is your favorite manga on.
After completing my first manga series “Naruto” a thought popped into my mind that this was an amazing series and are there more manga’s like this that I can thoroughly enjoy.
To find some better manga’s I just searched for manga’s that had sold many more volumes than of Naruto.
Though there were very few better than Naruto in the list I did find a gold mine of amazing manga that had my attention for many months after this.
So, here are the 10 Best Selling manga that you should have read long ago.
10 – Bleach (120 Million)
Bleach is Shounen manga created by Tite Kubo that ran from 2001 to 2016 and has amassed 74 numbers of volume, which sold as much as 120 million copies till today.
Bleach has received many awards such as “the Shogakukan Manga Award for” in 2005 and is among the best selling manga in both Japan and the United States.
The story follows a hot-headed teenager named Ichigo Kurosaki who has the ability to seen ghosts and other supernatural being such as soul reaper since childhood.
Rukia is a soul reaper who end up getting hurt while fighting a monster, she is saved by Ichigo who gents in the harm’s way to protect her.
During that fight to save both of their life, Rukia had to transfer her power to Ichigo so he could fight the monster, transforming him into a Soul Reaper (Which is against the rule of the soul reaper society).
9 – Slam Dunk (126 Million)
Slam dunk is a sports manga created by Takehiko Inoue that ran from 1990 to 1993 and is said to be the manga that increased the popularity of basketball among Japanese youth.
This manga ended with 31 volumes in his name which sold as much as 126 million copies till today.
Hanamich Sakuragi a delinquent and a gang leader is someone who has rejected nearly fifty times in his first year of high school.
He finds the girl of his dream, who is not repulsed by him like all the previous girls he proposed and to impress her he joins his school basketball team reluctantly.
He ends up falling in love with the sports and together with a team full of misfit they start aiming for the championship.
8 – Oishinbo (130 Million)
Oishinbo is a Cooking manga written by Tetsu Kariya and drawn by Akira Hanasaki and its name derived from the word kuishinbo, which means someone who loves to eat.
With 111 Volume this manga 10th longest series and also with 130 million sold copies its is the 8th best-selling manga of all time.
The story is about Shiro Yamaoka a 27-year-old journalist who works for Tozai News’s cultural department and is the head of a project named “Ultimate Menu”.
He is someone who is an extremely lazy person and would only show his interest in things related to food in which he possesses deep knowledge.
7 – Kochikame (157 Million)
Kochikame is a comedy series created by Osamu Akimoto that ran from 1976 to 2016 with 200 volumes (Second highest ever) it ended up selling 157 million copies till today.
It also holds the Guinness World Record for the “Most volumes published for a single manga series”.
Kochikame plot mostly revolves around Kankichi Ryotsu who would always try to come up with a money-making scheme that would go great at first and as it slowly starts Turing bad he would call Keiichi Nakagawa for help, but in the end, it would always end up running out of control and blow up on his face.
6 – Black Jack (176 Million)
Black jack manga is created by the great Osamu Tezuka who is considered as the “Father of manga” and compared many times with Walt Disney due to his impact full work in the industry.
Black jack is the story of a doctor Kuro Hazama who at a very young age nearly died due to an accident in which he lost his mother, but was saved by Dr.Honma who operated on him.
Due to the severity of his injury and stress of the operation his hair turned white at that age, he also had to get skin graft from his best friend who was half African, due to which his face seemed darker on one side.
He, later on, he turns into a medical mercenary who sells his exceptional skills to the rich and also takes on patients without any bar no matter who they are.

The story is about a high-school detective named Shinichi Kudo who helps police to solve cases that are hard to solve.
During one such case, he is attacked by some people who are a member of syndicate named Black Organization, they force him to drink an experiment poison that transforms him into a child instead of killing him.
To protect his family and friend from the organization he hides his identity and starts living with his childhood friend’s house who’s father is a detective as a child name Edogawa Conan (named after Arthur Conan Doyle).
It started its publication in January 1994 and is still running and has amassed nearly 97 volumes of Tankobon.

Naruto is a Shonen manga created by Masashi Kishimoto that has sold 250 million copies in the whole world till today, it has sold half of the 250 million in Japan and the other half in 35 other countries.
It follows the story of an orphan child name Naruto Uzumaki, who had a powerful monster fox sealed inside him named Nine-Tails.
The nine tail had attacked his village just after his birth in which he had lost his mother and father, as many more villagers also had lost their lives in the attack most villagers saw him as the monster that he hosted and despised him since his childhood.
Naruto’s story is all about how he dreamed about becoming Hokage (Leader) of his village so that one day everybody would who ignore and despise him would look up to him.
3 – Golgo 13 (280 Million)
Golgo 13 not only holds the third spot in this list of best selling manga but also it has the third-highest number of volumes of all manga’s, it is also one of the oldest manga that is still in publication.
This manga is created by Takao Saito and published by Shogakukan and has been running from October 1968 and has nearly 195 volumes.
The story of this manga is about Golgo 13 (Duke Togo) who is a professional assassin, his age and birthplace are still unknown.
He can be seen as a quiet person who only talks when it’s necessary, but will not show a speck of emotion when he is carrying out his job and would kill anyone who could expose him.
With nearly 280 Million in sales this series is considered as the for-runner manga that pushed more realistic and dramatic manga to the limelight.
2 – Dragon Ball (250-300 Million)
Dragon ball can be considered as one of the most popular manga series of all time, though it is old it still has many new readers.
This manga created by Akira Toriyama held the spot of best selling manga for years and has total sales of nearly 250-300 Million right now, even though it had ended around 25 years back.
The story focuses on a boy with a monkey tail named Son Goku and his teenage friend Bulma, they are in search of the seven Dragon Balls to summon the dragon Shenlong who will grant them a wish.
Goku makes many friends on his journey and battle villains who are also aiming for the dragon balls.

This best belling manga is created by Eiichiro Oda and published by Viz Media in America, it started on July 22, 1997, and still running with more than 950 Chapters under its belt.
One Piece story is about Monkey D. Luffy, who had gained the power of rubber after eating a devil fruit, he with his crew Straw Hat Pirates are on the search of One Piece (Legendary Treasure Left by the Pirate King Gold Roger) somewhere in the Grand Line.
One Piece has sold approximately 462 Million in circulation in nearly 43 countries worldwide and also holds the Guinness World record for “The most copies published for the same comic book series by a single author”.
One Piece is the highest-grossing media franchises of all time, estimated to have earned more than 21 billion with franchise, manga, anime, films, games, and merchandise.
